Be Here Now Sangha
Be Here Now (BHN) is a mindfulness community rooted in the Plum Village tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and the Order of Interbeing. Formed in the fall of 2002, Be Here Now meets every Monday night from 7:00-8:15pm at the Open Way Mindfulness Center in Missoula, Montana.
Free to attend, donations greatly appreciated.
All are welcome: all ages; all sexual orientations; all genders; all abilities; all races. No experience necessary. Beginners and experienced practitioners alike are welcome.
Our Format: We emphasize a welcoming atmosphere and comfort (and there are a variety of seating options to partake in). We start with a 15-minute silent sitting meditation period followed by 2-3 rounds of indoor walking meditation (in the summer months we sometimes walk outside in Rose Park). We then offer a reading followed by a sharing circle. And we close with a circle for gratitude and healing. Lastly, before we depart for the night, we take a few minutes for community announcements.
